Going Mobile for Day Spa Goers
Alan Skok, owner and founder of Sanctuary, led the launch of the mobile site in December 2011. Skok recognizes that mobile devices and spas go hand-in-hand. Using Google Analytics, Zyfer determined that 30% of Sanctuary’s visitors were using a mobile device. Skok realized that with a mobile friendly site, he could increase conversion by increasing convenience to book appointments.

The mobile site prioritizes the delivery of mobile-appropriate content and tools that are most likely to drive fast conversions, including information about Sanctuary locations, easy service-menu access, and strong contact calls to action.

The team designed for small screen navigation. Using an app-style navigation with vertical scrolling so customers can quickly view spa services and book appointments.

The mobile site is about driving conversions. Users can contact us quickly with click-to-call button and appointment bookings. The site’s services menu is another high-priority mobile feature.

The site loads locally relevant content for mobile users, including the location and operating hours of the nearest Sanctuary Spa.
Use Mobile Site Redirects
Giving users ultimate control is important to the team, so they employed a “switch to desktop view” code to allow users to manually request the desktop version after visiting the mobile site.
